Brilliant Skin on a Budget

If you are ready to ease into a healthy skin care routine, and would like the highest quality without breaking the bank, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve done the research so you don’t have to, sorting through pharmaceutical grade and spa quality lines to find the highest potency for the best price. To cover all bases, you need vitamins A, C, and E (backed by decades of research), alpha hydroxy acids, and mineral sun protection.

Why ACE & AHA’s? The skin is mostly water with lipid bi-layers protecting the surface and the cell walls. Vitamin C is a water-soluble antioxidant, that prevents free radical damage deep inside the skin on the cellular level, and Vitamin E is an oil-soluble antioxidant, preventing damage to the lipids. As collagen production and cell functions slow with age, Vitamins C and A boost collagen, brighten the skin, and optimize cellular functions. Another thing that declines with age is cell turn-over, causing skin to look dull. That’s where AHA’s like glycolic and lactic acid come in, to speed exfoliation for a youthful glow.

Keep in mind that I only recommend products that I have trained on, independently researched, and received feedback on from multiple clients. So this is my take on the most medical-grade bang for your buck!

Sample Skin Care Routine – Ideal for Men

Brilliant Skin on a Budget 1

AM
1. Cleanse with a reusable micro-fiber face cloth or gentle cleanser (like Cerave Hydrating)
2. Apply Image Skincare Vital-C Serum (Hydrating ACE)
3. Followed by Image Prevention+ Daily Moisturizer SPF 50 (or Cerave Sunscreen to save a little $)

PM
1. Cleanse with Glytone Mild Gel Wash or Cerave Renewing Cleanser
2. Apply Glytone Age-defying Antioxidant Eye Cream to eye area (as directed on product)
3. Follow with Glytone Night Renewal Cream (or SkinBetter AlphaRet if you don’t mind spending a little more on your night cream. AlphaRet is a lighter texture, with higher potency. Either product will boost cell functions, gradually smoothing the skin and preventing break-outs by speeding exfoliation).

Alternative to step 3 for sensitive skin: Glytone Enhance Brightening Complex -usually well tolerated and helps to even out skin tone and gently speed exfoliation.

Always patch test any product if you have a history of contact dermatitis and allergies, and follow package directions for application.
